The Faculty would like to thank all of you who were involved in the Faculty Appreciation Dinner this past Friday.  The food was excellent and the evening was wonderful.  Thank you to all who volunteered to make the Faculty feel appreciated � it was a success!

Celebratio
Invitations will be sent this week!  Please be sure to respond in a timely manner to secure a seat.  Over 350+ items have been procured.  Thanks to all!  If you have not yet indicated your willingness to volunteer, please call the school office at 380-9192.  The most pressing need at this time is for Thursday afternoon and Friday morning set-up and clean-up and delivery on Friday night and Saturday. 

All-School Devotions � 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, 7:15 a.m.
Jean Larroux, Pastor at Independent Presbyterian Church, and Jim Holland, Pastor of St. Patrick�s Presbyterian Church, will lead school devotions in the cafeteria.  All are welcomed.

Class Ring Orders � March 2, 9:00 a.m.
Our class ring representative from Balfour will be here on Wednesday, March 2 to collect class ring orders and deposits for the Juniors and Seniors.  If you are planning on ordering a class ring, please have your order and your deposit ready for this time.

Hamburger Dog Day � March 4
March 4 will be a Dog Day for Upper School only.  Student Council will be serving hamburgers instead of hot dogs for the same great price.  $3.50 will get you a hamburger, chips, drink, and dessert.

Dessert Concert � March 17, 6:30 � 8:00 p.m.
The 7th � 10th grade Choirs and the Westminster Academy Children�s Choir (3rd � 6th graders) will be performing their Dessert Concert �Puttin� On The Hits� on March 17 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in WA�s Cafeteria.  Tickets will be available beginning February 24 for $6 and can be purchased from any Choir member.  Come join our Choirs for a fun night of music and dessert. 

WA�s 3rd Annual Juried Exhibition of Original Art� March 18, 7:00 p.m.
Westminster�s Art Exhibition will be Friday, March 18 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Christian Life Center.  Stop by to see our students� art work. Check out the website for more information.  Volunteers are also needed.  Call the office at 380-9192 to volunteer. 

Bowling Party � March 18, 6:30 p.m.
The 7th � 12th grades are invited to a Bowling Party at Cordova Bowling Center on Germantown Parkway.  Meet at 6:30 in the bowling center�s parking lot for pizza and then bowling at 7:15.  The total cost is to come, but will include pizza, drink, bowling shoes, and the number of games you bowl. 

Prayer Request
Rob Halford, one of our 8th graders, will be having back surgery on Tuesday, March 22 for Scoliosis.  Please pray that God will grant wisdom for the doctor and grace and peace for Rob and his family.  Thank you. 

Box Tops For Education
To all who have been faithfully clipping Boxtops, it�s time to turn them in to the green collection bin by the office.  Please have all your Boxtops in by Friday, March 18.  Thanks for helping earn cash for our school!

WA Summer Enrichment Camp
The WA Summer Enrichment Camp is back!  Mr. Andrew Smith, Mr. Scott Smith, and their wives will be offering 3 sessions of a fun-filled, action-packed week of activities.  Space will be limited, so be looking at your calendars to stake out your spot.  Brochures and more details will be coming very soon! 

Ex Libris
FYI:  We have been given approximately 750 books for the Library since Spring of 2004!!! We now have approximately 2,600 books in the Westminster Library.  God has and continues to richly provide for all our needs . . . exceedingly, abundantly!!

What�s Coming Up: Mary Pope Osborne, Author of the Magic Tree House series, will have a book signing at Davis-Kidd bookstore on Saturday, March 12 at 2:00.  Her latest publication, Carnival at Candlelight, #33 in the series, will be released and available for purchases at that time. 

This Week: K, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades learned what George Washington had for breakfast everyday.  Do you know?  Ask your little Defender?

Upper School Basketball
Congratulations!  JV Girls won First Place in the tournament � in triple overtime!  JV Boys took Second Place and Varsity Girls took Third!

Attention all Basketball Players!  Please turn in your uniforms to the box outside Coach Smith�s office before the end of the Quarter. 

Spelling Bee
Congratulations to Jay Correll who represented WA at the citywide Spelling Bee.  Thank you, Jay!
