Westminster Academy is a non-selective Outstanding International Business and Enterprise Academy for students aged 11-19. We opened in September 2006 and moved into our award-winning building in September 2007. The Sixth Form at Westminster Academy offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme.

Since opening, the Academy has more than quadrupled exam results, from 17% of students achieving five or more A*-C grades at GCSE including English and maths in 2007, to 70% of students now  achieving A*-C in core subjects. Our Sixth Form is ranked number one in London in the Department for Education's performance tables for 2015.

In 2013 Westminster Academy was judged Outstanding and soon after our students voted on a new mission: "Education is Success". To fuel our mission we strive to ensure every student leaves us a well-rounded young person with exceptional examination results. We aim for our students to achieve their spiritual, moral, social, cultural, intellectual and physical potential and we achieve this through the dedication of a talented staff body, as well as our smaller class sizes, personalised curriculum and extensive extra-curricular programme.

Our ethos is student-centred and personalises learning for every student in a safe, respectful environment. WA students selected our four HERO values, upon which our code of conduct is based:

To see how our ethos and values are reflected in the teaching and learning and enrichment opportunities Westminster Academy provides, please see our weekly newsletters.
At Westminster Academy our educational philosophy is grounded in the outcomes of the International Baccalaureate learner profile. IB learners strive to be:
We place great value on developing students' character as well as their intellect and focus on the seven character traits shown to be the most powerful in determining success: grit, self-control, curiosity, zest, optimism, gratitude and social intelligence.
The personal qualities, skills, interests and needs of each student contribute to their individual programmes of learning. Forward-thinking assessment methods and data tracking enable us to personalise learning and ensure that students and their families are fully involved in their progress.
